Tacoma’s West Slope Neighborhood

The first word that comes to mind when you think of Tacoma’s West Slope neighborhood is views. Views of Puget Sound,vOlympic Mountains, and of the Narrow’s Bridge. Most importantly, homes on Tacoma’s West Slope have some of the most spectacular sunset views you’ll find anywhere.

University Place Neighborhood

University Place is a combination of sweet suburban homes and gorgeous west facing Puget Sound masterpieces. Some of the areas finest homes in the area are located on the west side of UP.

Fox Island Neighborhood

 

Fox Island is quintessential northwest living. Many homes on the outer edges of the island have incredible views of Mt Rainier or the Olympics as well as the water. Located across a bridge and about a 20 minute drive from Gig Harbor and about 30-40 minutes from Downtown Tacoma.

Old Town, Tacoma

Homes in Old Town have views of Commencement Bay, Browns Point, Vashon Island, and even Mt. Rainier. In addition to gazing out across the water, access to Tacoma’s public waterfront Ruston Way is also super convenient for Old Towners. Old Town residents can be in Downtown Tacoma or hitting I-5 in under five minutes.

Stadium District

Stadium has plenty of stately old homes with views of the water, but they also have a great selection of apartments and condos that look out across Commencement Bay. Not to mention Stadium High School, which has some of the best views of any public high school in the country.

Downtown Tacoma /Thea Foss

Located along the Downtown Tacoma waterfront, the Thea Foss Waterway only has a few buildings where people can buy condos or rent apartments. Those buildings are Thea’s Landing (apartments with penthouse loft condos), The Esplanade (Luxury Condominiums), The Henry (apartments), and Albers Mill Lofts (loft apartments for rent). Homes in Downtown Tacoma and on Tacoma’s Hillside have some awesome views of Thea Foss waterway, Murray Morgan Bridge, and the Port of Tacoma and Puyallup River.

Lakewood

True to its name Lakewood has many homes, condos, and apartments on several lakes including Lake Louise, American Lake, Lake Steilacoom, and Gravelly Lake. It’s a great place to live in the Summer with boating, swimming, and lakefront parks!

Spanaway
