Located next to Point Defiance Park, Owen Beach, and the Ferry to Vashon Island, Ruston is surrounded by things to do. It has a number of bars and restaurants, and the newer Point Ruston development on the waterfront offers abundant dining and entertainment options. Ruston residents have a direct commute via Ruston Way to I-5.
Architecture
There is a mix of craftsman, victorian, and northwest contemporary homes. Ruston is one of Tacoma's oldest neighborhoods and has a variety of architectural styles, but mostly older homes. Recently condos such as The Commencement have been completed giving folks in Ruston more housing options.
