Eatonville, Washington is located in East Pierce County. Eatonville is about a 1 hour drive from Downtown Tacoma, 45 minutes to JBLM via the east gate, 45 minutes to Downtown Puyallup, and 90 minutes to Downtown Seattle. As of the time of this writing Eatonville is not served by bus service from Pierce Transit.
What is there to do in and around Eatonville?
The greatest thing about living in Eatonville is the access to nature. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Eatonville to the entrance of Mt Rainier National Park and all of the adventure it has to offer. In addition Eatonville is located near Northwest Trek Wildlife Preserve and Pioneer Farm and Ohop Indian Village. Boating and camping is plentiful in the area, but especially at Alder Lake Park. In short, you will not run out of nature or wilderness to enjoy in the mountains and forests that surround Eatonville.

If you’re looking for something more mountainous and remote than Eatonville, check out Elbe/Ashford. Elbe and Ashford are towns on the way to Mt. Rainier National Park. That area is on the very edge of Pierce County and if you keep driving that way you’ll end up in Lewis County. The towns of Mineral and Morton are the next two towns in Lewis County.
Before you reach Eatonville you pass the neighborhoods of Graham, Kapowsin, Clear Lake, and Ohop Lake.
