Get to Know Midland

Welcome to Midland. If you’re looking for wide open spaces without an hour long commute, this neighborhood might be just what you seek. Think fields. Think horses. Think acreage. Think 10 minutes to the freeway.

Why Midland is so Great

Midland is a very special neighborhood in Pierce County. In spite of its proximity to the City of Tacoma many of the properties are large and rural feeling. Many people in Midland have horses and other animals. It’s extremely convenient because of it’s location between I-5 and Highway 5-12. So whether you’re commuting north to Seattle or South to JBLM or Olympia the location is choice.

What to do in Midland

While Midland itself is mainly rural and neighborhood homes, if you don’t have a horse to ride around you probably will have to leave the neighborhood if you want to find some excitement. Fortunately the neighborhood is an easy 10 minutes from the action in Downtown Tacoma, Downtown Puyallup, Lakewood Town Center, and more. Midland (as its name implies) is central and connected.

Architecture

You'll find a variety of architectural styles in Midland. From historic homes to new construction and everything in between. The key difference is homes in Midland often have larger lots and more opportunities for acreage.

What the Neighbors are Saying

It's one thing to form an opinion based on your first impressions of a neighborhood, but it's another to hear from the people who call it home.

Lincoln is full of energy. Not in a touristy sense, but liek a strong community of working people living their lives. You have the international district on one end, and more commercial spots on the opposite end. I enjoy shopping at East Asia Market and grabbing sushi at Gari of Sushi.

Keryn

The Lincoln District is convenient, walkable, and vibrant! I love that I can run a bunch of errands on foot, enjoy the restaurants and shops of 38th Street, and that downtown is just a five minute drive away (or a longish walk if I'm feeling ambitious).

Catherine

The Lincoln District is eclectic, neighborly, with older homes. I love how my neighbors all watch out for each other.
