Why this Neighborhood is so Great

The Lincoln District (named after the iconic Lincoln High School) has also come to be known as the international district. Teeming with cafes and restaurants owned and ran by an incredibly diverse crowd of Tacomans from all over the world, Lincoln is full of surprises. The neighborhood has lovely treelined streets with sidewalks framing historic craftsman homes, victorians, and tudors. In addition to the international restaurants there are also two specialty grocery stores, Hong Kong Market and the Asia Pacific Market if you're looking for hard to find ingredients and new and unusual flavors.

What to do in this Neighborhood

The Lincoln District is full of places to eat including the famous Vien Dong, Zocolo Mexican Bakery, Uncle Thurms Soul Food, and more places to grab a delicious Bánh mì sandwich than is prudent to list. The variety of little food shops is fantastic. In addition to great food karaoke at the Flying Boots Cafe is another favorite local activity.
