In the thriving Stadium Business District, charming storefronts welcome customers. Stadium residents have their own grocery store, Link Light rail stop, and iconic high school that looks like a castle. Seriously.
Some Stadium District homes offer spectacular views of Puget Sound, Browns Point, Vashon Island, and Commencement Bay. What to do in Stadium District
Right next to Downtown Tacoma, the Stadium District has one of the most thriving and historic business districts in the city. Being just above Downtown Tacoma, Stadium is close to all of the the museums, shows, nightlife and events that the downtown scene has to offer. You can take the light rail to the Hospitals and to the Hilltop Neighborhood in one direction, or take the Link going downhill to head to Downtown Tacoma, University of Washington Tacoma, and the Tacoma Dome Station (where you can catch the buses to SeaTac, Seattle, and beyond- and the Sounder Train to Seattle.
Architecture
Tacoma's Stadium District has some amazing examples of Classical Revival, Victorian, Queen Anne, Craftsman, and true Mansions. Some of the finest historic homes in the city are located in Stadium There are also historic and modern condos. This is one of the best neighborhoods to explore Tacoma architecture.
