One of my favorite places to eat in Tacoma is Indo Asian Street Eatery in Tacoma’s Stadium District. The flavors of the food are incredible.  Owner Yu Nanakornphanom works there with his parents and wife. Yu’s parents owned a food store in Thailand and now they all live in Tacoma. “We love being part of the Tacoma restaurant movement,” says Yu.

As a vegetarian my favorite dishes at Indo are the tofu lettuce wraps (they give you so much filling I always need more lettuce) and the tofu pad thai. Pad thai seems like a boring thing to recommend, but it is the freshest most delicious pad thai in Tacoma! Don’t miss the cabbage fritters either!

My friend Anne and I took a visit to Indo on a rainy day in Tacoma recently and ate by the fire, we made a video about it:

Indo is closed on Mondays and is open Tuesday-Friday 11am-9pm, Saturday 12-9pm, and Sunday 12-8pm.

Pro tip: When making plans with friends make sure to emphasize you’re going to INDO ASIAN STREET EATERY in the Stadium District- NOT Indochine in Downtown Tacoma. They’re both delicious but they’re a mile apart!
